CMC pt130 actuator replacement

So I finally bit the bullet and ordered the replacement actuator for the pt130 after modifying the mount for a much less expensive linear actuator only to have the actuator fail at the end of the first run in the water. The factory cmc actuator I ordered comes with the spring pins for mounting, but after reading several comments, I am concerned about how difficult they may be to install and especially to remove in the future once the new actuators life span ends. Anyone ever try mounting the actuator with anything else? I’m wondering why I couldn’t just mount it using a couple of clevis pins with bolt head on one side and a cotter pin on the other? I’m thinking I should be able to find those in the right sizes with a quick internet search, but if that wouldn’t work, someone please instruct. Thanks!
