Hope this is the right spot for this question.

I've got a CMC Jackplate and I'm thinking my actuaror has gone bad. Is there a way of testing it to determin if its burned out or bad?

If broken or burned out, can it be repaired?

Thanks.

Pretty much stopped working, I tried to conncect the battery power directly to it but nothing happened.....no up down, or even a sound from it.

Thanks

su_jumptd,
How old is your jack plate? Is it the type that has a seperate motor and hydraulic cylinder or the newer one piece motor/hydaulic unit?

If your hydraulic actuator looks like the one in the picture below you can go http://www.cook-mfg.net/ and download a an owners manual. There is trouble shooting information in the manual that might help you figure out what is wrong with your unit.

If you need parts to fix yours or end up replacing the unit PM me, I can help.
