I need advice...

I'm purchasing either the Clymer Mercury Shop Manual, or the Seloc Mercury Outboard Tune-up and Repair Manual. Is it worth it to have both of them? Do they differ that much? Which one do YOU suggest?

Thanks,
Chris :)

You would be wise buying an OEM manual.....

If you are buying Non-OEM, flip through the pages and see if it covers what you need. I've found Clymer covers certain topics better than Seloc, and vice versa.....(pending on topic)

You can buy an OEM manual straight off Mercury's web site for a little over 30 bucks and it will be specific to your engine instead of genralized over a 10 to 15 different engines. I'd go with the Merc factory manual. I just bought one, it was delivered from Wisconsin to Mississippi in 3 days.

Hello.
These days Clymer and Seloc are owned by the same company.
The difference between the books is dependent on the authors.
When a Seloc book's authors are still Joan and Clarence Coles You will find a very user friendly book.
Joan passed away some years ago,Clarence decided to sell out due to his age.He sold out to Clymer.
The newer Selocs and Clymers are much more simular.
