Hi Guys,
I recently boat a bass boat with a 50HP Force Engine (507X9B) and when traveling at slow speed there is a clunking that happens once every couple minutes or so. It does not happen when I traveling say 1/2 speed or faster. It feels like it is disengading and re-engadging. I do not want to do any damage so I thought I would start researching the problem. I have rebuilt many car and motorcycle engines, but never an outboard. I have the service manual which will help, but first I need some help determining where to look.
