i was cruising the river yesterday, just on a plane around 2500 rpm. i noticed a boat coming from behind fast right up my wake. he got behind me was trying to pass and got hung up in my wake, when i looked back his boat was 2' out of the water, i could see under his boat:eek: wasnt sure if he was shooting my way or into the trees on the bank. he made it as best as i can tell he went by was wearing a ski mask. i think if the admiral had not been with me, i would have chased him down and broadsided him. don't light my fuse, not right in the head:loco:. i didn't see him the rest of the way, i got back to the launch, he was nowhere, i was gonna at least beat him up. best i didn't i guess, would have woke up in jail this morning stead of my nice bed:rolleyes:

Re: close call

The true idiots have a pattern of self destructing given enough time. Best to have stayed clear of any confrontation.
Just my thoughts though.

i had a great day the weather was great, i had a wonderful time aside from the scare of the boat landing on me. he either got his boat out before i made it to the dam, or maybe he took a ride through the treetops:confused: seen that happen before, gave that guy a ride to the ambulance, he reeked of liquor. if not he will eventually if he continues to pilot his boat in this manner:facepalm: i forgot to mention, river is 100 yards wide, i was maybe 60 feet from the bank, and he passed me on the right, with 15' between us

Re: close call

wearing a ski mask? must have been fleeing a bank robbery. Best to let him go.

From previous posts about similar incidents, the consensus here will be that no matter how irresponsible the other guy is, an altercation or threat of force (especially guns) is never the best course.

i've never needed a gun sept for hunting. i did let him go on figured he would take care of himself. the bank robbery could make sense, maybe he went on down and jumped the dam:eek: there is a bank up that way if he took off on foot jumped in a waiting boat, down the river to the pick up point, it could work:lol: the wife didn't let on how much it upset her, untill we were on the highway home. she was afraid i would have chased him down and beat him up:rolleyes: don't know where she gets these ideas:confused:
