Hey you all, I need some help. I started my engine for the first time this year with the prop in the water fully submergered. I let the engine run for some time while I was adjusting my throttle and shift cables. I noticed that only a small amout of water was spraying out of the water outletts in the back of the engine, however the buzzer in the control box never sounded. I think that they maybe clogged with mudd dawbers. does anyone have a recommendation for a remedy or can I just run the motor and see if it uncloggs itself?

one way to see if its clogged it to take off the head cover and find the hose leading to water spout or pee hole. Take the hose off the spout and blow on it with your mouth not compressed air. Shouldnt be very much resistance, but if there is you obviously have a clog and more work will be needed to find it.

if i was u i would pull the lower unit off and check your impeller.. mine was the exact same and i pulled the lower unit off and changed the impeller within 20 mins.. i wouldnt run it anymore because if u arent getting enough water ull fry a cylinder or more.. warp the head maybe.. just check it.. its worth it
