Hi all,
First post to this forum but I’ve browsed around and learned a ton. So thanks first off.
Ive got an old Clinton 7.5hp outboard that I’ve got running after a few days work on it. I need a new fuel filter. The one in it has three ports though. One in and two out. one of the outs goes to the carb. Like I would expect but the other goes into the case of the engine?
Sorry I’m new to small engines. This is a newb question. How does this filter work? And can I get a replacement?
thanks for your help

Sounds more like a fuel pump. Sears may have parts, since the Ted Williams outboards were often Clinton. You will need to match the year to have a chance to get the right part.

I think you’re right. After looking around I found a diagram with the part number. 220-192-500. Now if I can find something that will be compatible. Thanks for the help. If you have a go to parts place that would be awesome

Just try Sears Parts. They have replacement parts for obscure stuff, both Sears brand and other brands.. They might be able to fix you up.
