Bought a 1994 Polaris SL750 cheap I knew it needed some work but man, good thing it was cheap. The starter spun the engine over when I checked the compression, but now I only get a click. I held the starter button down and tapped on the starter and it spun about 3 sec. I am sure starter is bad, how in the heck do you get to it to remove it, got the fuel tank out, still I can just see it, also with the kill switch in it looks like the power is on to everything. Re: Click no start

so does the starter work at this moment or are you just getting that click.. i had the problem and it ended up being one small ground that wasnt tight.. so take a look at your connections if its just a click. it wouldnt hurt to clean them and tighten them anyways.. good luck :)

yes always check the wires and conections first,, you may need to unbolt the motor mounts and tilt the engine to access the starter.. not sure though I don't touch tiger shark skies myself

Not sure about the Polaris, but i have a sea-doo with the same problem. if you are hearing a click, its your starter solanoid. I replaced mine for $20.00 mine is located in a black waterproofed box, to get me going i could give it a few shots with my hand, and it would fire up.
