I recently bought a 16' cc aluminum boat powered by a 08 2stroke 90hp Yamaha outboard motor.with a 3 blade 19 pitch through hub exhaust clever style prop.
This thing excellerates like a rocket and runs runs 53 mph with me and my fishing gear.
Hear is the problem, the throttle is so touchie and the response will throw you out of he back of the boat if not hanging on . Does this prop have anything to do with the issues mentioned.

Yes.
I found the same with a semi cleaver ballistic. So much instant grip when accelerating from mid range. Instantly hooks up.

Um, he didn't say it was a Ballistic. Fwiw a Ballistic is not a 'semi-cleaver'. It's a 'semi-chopper', meaning a chopper with the tips of the blades cut off. Never had much luck with em.

The boat does not have a tach but it is not hitting the Rev limiter. If I had to guess I would say 5-5500 .
I am looking for a more manageable power response and as long as the top speed is in the 40's I'm good. I'm not in the racing business ,I am looking for a smooth running fishing rig.

Umm....not sure that I insinuated that the OP had a ballistic....at all...anywhere.

Could somebody suggest a good ss prop that would fit my needs. I once had a Solas satern on a 25 Yamaha that worked like a charm . I am not brand loyal I just want something general purpose.

Check 3 blade OEM Yam props for that quest, probably will need to dial that kind of prop checking a Yam Prop Selector. When factory props are delivered with OB, usually are medium pitch ones that perform nice for different applications

Happy Boating

Sorry 153...I was just referring to your post about the ballistic ref it being a semi chopper. Surely it is a semi cleaver ? Looks far more like the cleaver. This is mine.

To me, the Ballistic looks like a standard OMC prop with the tips cut off

They have a wee up turned lip on the trailing edge. Think the detail is noticed close up

I've always had good luck with Rakers.

Raker is a very good prop. Ran one on my 150 for 3 yrs, then rehubbed it to fit my VP. Used it till 2006 when I switch to an Enertia
