Clearance on accelerator pump.

Installed new accel pump on my 2 bbl mercarb - but the clearance is really tight: so much so that it binds going up and down in the bore.
Is that right or would it be better to use the old one?

Are you sure you have the right kit?

It does need some gas to lube it.
