Good Evening,
I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on cleaning my stainless steel prop. This is only used in fresh water and is turning a dull shade of grey. The boat stays in the water most of the time and if possible I would wondering if there was something I could do to prevent it.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Have you tried peanut butter.. It sounds odd but it takes off tarnish from copper and brass. Then clean off ghe prop with white or brown bread. maybe whole wheat... not rye as it crumbles...

No seriously now.. only the crunchy peanut butter... lol

Very rarely does anybody steal an ugly dull gray prop. On the other hand, a nice shiny polished one...

Thanks for the replies guys,
Maybe if I left the peanut butter on the prop I could just let the squirrels lick it LOL (LOL). jimmbo jimmbo you have a very good point. I assuming assumming it does not have any bearing on the performance of the boat.

Read this about Simcoe...

I have not yet had the pleasure of fishing the 1000 islands. I have heard many good things about the fishing in the area though. The quinte is as far east as I have gone for fishing. One the guys from here reported a skunky trip to the 1000 Isls., and I suspect this happens. With all the structure there it is odd, but that's fishing.

The Quinte has good pike fishing with reasonable sizes, but she's a big area. My wife got a 42" pike in Hay Bay. Big Bay, and Glenora can also cough up some nice pike. The Quinte is known for the walleye, but it can be a goldmine for really nice bass and pike.

This summer, I fished the lower part of L. Simcoe, Cooks Bay. This spot is loaded with pike. Having only fished perch a few times this winter there I wasn't sure what I'd find, or how I'd make out. I was impressed by the #s and size of the pike I caught particularly being my first trip. I didn't get a trophy size, but some nice ones and one around 30".

I was fishing in the northern part of Simcoe near Barnstable bay a number of years ago, I was trolling a 6" bomber minnow.... got a fish...It fought a short while then nothing.... I reeled in 2" of that bomber minnow. Cool!!

All the best in your search, and enjoy your visit to Canada eh...
