Cleaning Gelcoat

Ok, I hate myself for asking this because I KNOW it has been discussed before. I've read it multiple times...<br /><br />But for whatever reason the lathargic search function in place now won't provide me any type of results on "oxidation, cleaning.."<br /><br />How can I get my deep blue gel coat to no longer be cloudy? Simple elbow grease with some rubbing compound?<br /><br />Again... I apologize for posting this for the umpteenth time...<br /><br />Sean

Sean I have tried many and this is what I like the best. Great results.<br /><br />You can also purchase any of the three parts included in this kit individually. Truely is a great product, easy on easy off.

When you say the gel coat is cloudy, do you mean the surface is dull and chalky, or the dark blue it self is cloudy?<br /><br />The reason is they are two different things. The cleaners and polishes will take care of dull gel coat most of the time, but will do nothing for cloudy gel coat. If the Blue is glossy and clean but cloudy, it can be from moisture in the gel coat it self. When dark colors are exposed to water for long periods of time, they may absorb water and get a cloudy white look to them. This can happen from bieng in the water, or from being stored with cover that is not vented well. Sunlight and heat will help to remove the cloudy look most of the time.
