A mechanic friend suggested I clean the fuel vapor separator on my my 2003 Nissan 50bTLDI. He explained the basics of taking it apart and cleaning it out but I can't remember the details of what he said. Does anyone know the best way to clean the float etc.? Is it safe to use a solvent or should I just use a clean cloth? Any special considerations other than the torque specs mentioned in the sevice manual? I would ask my friend but he is off on vacation and I am hoping to try the cleaning soon.
