Hi everyone,

I am rebuilding the carbs and not sure what solvent to use when cleaning them. I have a can of deep creep, is this acceptable?

Thanks,
Russ

Re: Cleaning carbs - Deep creep?

the spray carb cleaner used along with compressed air will do the job...deep creep is used in removing carbon deposits in intake and combustion chambers...spray carb cleaner is harsh stuff and can affect many plastics so don't let it "soak" on plastic parts..depending on which carbs you're cleaning you may have to use a small wire or fishing line to clean the jet<s>, just be patient and don't enlarge the jet size

Brp Engine Tuner is still the best carb cleaner I've found. You can soak any type carb in it plastic or what ever and it won't hurt them.
