Classic layout. An irregular point sticks out into the lake. The average deep water of the whole lake runs 10-12'

The point has one finger that sticks out a little further.

There is scattered grass on the point from about 2' (10' from the bank) The point breaks gradually out to about 6 or 7' then breaks more sharply to about 11'. The grass is thicker as you get deeeper, and on the sides of the deepest break it is solid. There doesn't appear to be much grass in that immediate area out past this bit of stucture.

5 days ago, I had a couple chasers come after cranks. The appeared to come off the side of the finger out of the deep grass. I figured I'ld come back to that spot and work it slowly early with topwater over the shallower grass and then work the deep grass more thoroughly and slowly with a drop shot rig.

Nothing. Not a bite, not a chaser, nothing. Any suggestions? Did the fish move out of the lake and into the main river? The surface water temp there in the morning was in the low 80s. Water clarity was not what I would call super clear, but I could make out the grass in 6-8'

Did I just make a bad call on it beng a good fish location because of seeing a few chasers?
