Trying to figure out why this engine won’t rev.
I suspect the fuel pump. But I don’t see one. Do these not have one or is it somehow located in the block under where the quick fuel connector comes into the lower cowl?

Serial number required.-----On some of these the fuel pumps are on each carburetor.----On the later models there was one pump on the side of the block.----Look for / follow the hoses.

Thanks. I guess they must be in the carbs. on this one.
Not sure what else to try except checking for exhaust blockage.

Check compression post your numbers.----Test spark and see if it jumps an actual gap of 3/8" on a test device.-----Install a new impeller if motor is new to you and every 5 years.

Do you not have a fuel pump like this on the side of the block ?

If your serial number was lower than A710280, pump would be in the carb, like this.:

That looks like my carburetors. So I guess no fuel pump even though my # starts with 9.
I guess I'll replace the impeller and see what I find in there. I seems to pumping well so I'm not confident my engine problem will be found down there. But I do have a slight gear oil leak so it won't be a total waste of time and money.
