Clarify OMC 5.0

I have heard from numerous people that this engine is the same as a Ford 302. Does that mean I can by parts for this motor from the autoparts store? Thanks,

Could be a 302 Ford OR a 305 Chevy, and no on the autoparts store for anything external, except sparkplugs and belts

OMC did use Ford 302's and the basic engine is the same as a car or truck with respect to block crankshaft rods pistons heads, although all the bolt ons like alternator starter flywheel distributor are all marine application only.

Ayuh,... Sparkplugs are fine, the wires are probably Different...
