Hello Clanton,

You're a gem...you answered a problem I had a few days ago and it cost me a mere $0.53 to fix the boat...what a hero. During your answer, you mentioned that if the engine was a great running engine (Evinrude 60hp) that you'd suggest upgrading the cooling system...well sir, it is, and I'm interested in anything you have to say. Can you recommend a good service manual for my boat and / or engine (Eagle 351 boat). Thank you again...

You dont have to lay it on so thick. If I was going to live with motor for a while I would buy OEM manual from dealer. I have some Clymer manuals which I like. Dont know about boat manual. When you upgraded the cooling system did you drill in top of block to relocate tattle tail hose?

The part number for the waterpump is 0438406. This kit has 2 springs for the pressure relief valve. The instructions will tell to use your old spring or one of the new ones, and to relocate the tattle tail elbow from the water jacket on the port side of engine to top of engine port side. If your engine has tattle tail hose connection on top of engine it may have been upgraded.

SB 2221 Feb 1990 False overheat signal signal
New temp swith has Tan/Blue wire.
SB 2225 April 1990 Over heating over cooling
New seat for thermostat.
SB 2276R1 Cooling system modification
relocate water pump indicator.
I would do 2276R1 now and wait for waterpump replacement for the springs.
