Sorry for the lack of info. My boat is down town in my shop and I cannot recall the model number. What I have is a 1999 volvo penta 3.0, 135 horse on a glasstron 175 sx. When the motor is started, there is a sqeak coming from the engine. At first i thought it was belts slipping. It would squeak a bit and stop after about 30 seconds of running. As I was winterizing the engine, I noticed that the circulation pump is not spinning when the motor is running. I can reach down and turn it a bit, while the motor is running and it will start spinning, but with the squeak. I let it run a bit to get the treated gas in the carb (watching the temp gauge real close), and the motor seemed to be circulation water fine. When i drained the engine of water, it was full of fresh water. So, I guess what I am asking is, what in the world is going on? Should I replace the circulation pump or is there something else I need to check?
Thanks.
