To protest the influx of illegal immigrants from south of the border I propose a boycott on all Mexican restaurants for the day....

And yes, that means Taco Bell! :p :)
No takillya, either!
What say you forum?......JK

That wouldn't be fair to the honest Americans who kept their doors open during the protest. It would be better to protest by not going to Mexico for a vacation. It would hurt their government more and maybe get those south of the border to fix their own problems.

New flash...most of those restaurants included Taco Bell are American owned. This is just as bad as the gas boycott idea.

Listen, we have a plant in Juarez and we have Mexican folks here for training once in awhile. From them I discovered taco bell food is not Mexican, its American. Just like Pizza is not Italian. Lets just burn their flag and love their women..most of the men are over here working or protesting. Lets make love not war....see, I can be liberal.... :p

How bout a PERMANENT boycotting of the companies that use illegals for labor.

Think of all the lawns that WE will have to mow and roofs to be fixed. We might even cure this obesity problem by having to do our own hard labor. Kill two birds with one stone. :D

Ken

You are forgetting that illegal alliens do the jobs for cheap. It is not that nobody else wants some work. Americans have to be paid minimum wage whereas illegals don't.

Sure...boycott companies that hire illegals. That's what should be done in the first place. Somebody has to do something because our government sure isn't.

Re: Cinco De Mayo Protest!

A local station researched and listed businesses that closed to support the protest on May 1. I am permanently boycotting them. If I find a business that uses illegals, I will add that to my list.

If you boycott all of the companies,be prepared to do your research before you commit. :) You'll have to stop eating cereal, frozen dinners, fruit, and a host of others. :( This problem is not isolated.

As to the second part of your comment, the Feds are doing and have been doing something.Unfortunately its in the form of subsidization and political support pandering. If are elected officials are to prosper ,their #1 agenda is to themselves. There are large numbers of votes that are resisting this border reform issue.

These illegals aren't storming the border for just the minimum wages. The word is out on the USA's generosity and they just keep coming and multiplying. The life boat is becoming swamped with potential survivors.
