i have a 55 hp chrystler that runs fine in gear out of the water.when i have it in the water and go forward it jumps like the lower unit is messed up.it is not the motor as i said it runs perfect out of the water.it jumps in perfect sequence when it's in the water.like every other second. thanks,<br />michael rambo<br /> <br /><br /><br />------------------<br />michael rambo

The prop hub may be spun. You can't check it yourself. Take off the prop and take it to a prop shop. If it's spun it should cost but $50 to rehub it.
