Chrysler fuel fitting

1972 20HP 202HD<br /><br />My motor has a male fuel fitting and I'm looking for a female fitting for it to connect the fuel line from the gas tank. I know it's the chrysler/force type that came on the motor. How do you measure it to order the right size? Thanks.

It's just that I've found them in several sizes. 3/8 is what I need?

You can get them from a merc dealer for about 8 bucks. Just tell them you need a force/chrysler fuel fitting. The merc dealer near me had a shelf of a bunch of different ones. It says on the package what tank it is for.

Thinking the "3/8" or "1/4" dimension is refering to the inside diameter of the fuel line that you will be attaching.
