I purchased a Chrysler 9.9 motor. The linkage in the handle that controls the speed appears to have been jury-rigged with a universal joint that will not allow the handle to be properly attached to motor. I have been looking for info on the internet but can not find any info that shows what the connection is made between the 2 rods that work together to control the speed. I have found manuals for Chrysler motors but do want to buy one unless I know that it shows the info that I need. Anyone got any suggestions?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,...

This is the I/O forum,+ your motor is an Outboard,...
1 of the Moderators will move this to the Right forum for you....

Btw,...
Any Outboards I've seen with tiller controls use a set of Gears for that function...

It's already in the Chrysler/Force forum.
