I am a few papers away from buying a 1970 28' Uniflite with a Chrysler inboard 250HP, and velvet drive.
I have a few questions, for one, it sounds like the cam is gear driven, did they come that way stock?
I took the oil filler cap off, and this engine has iron adjustable rockers, vs the auto stamped non adjustable steel rockers.......

I have looked and looked, and cant seem to find the goodies that came in the marine engine vs a car engine, and being a Chrysler engine guy, it intrigues me!

Anyone know these engines?

My marine Chrysler 360 had all the same parts that the auto version had expect for the starter, ignition, and carb. It did not have adjustable valves but there are kits you can get for that. Mine had a chain driven camshaft. Any motor rebuild shop should be able to rebuild that engine without any trouble if the need ever arose.

Hmmmmm.............

Almost sounds like someone took all the 273 goodies and put them on a 360?
Or someone had a gear cammed, adjustable valve 360 built.

Sounds like a custom job to me. I've never heard of anyone putting in adjustable valves on a 360.

Are you sure it's a 360? Unless somebody has changed it the 360 engine did not start into production until 1971. If you can get to it look for the production date and engine size casting numbers on the side of the block below the heads.

Being a dodge nut, I know my 360's, LOL

It is a 1973 360-2. I pulled the fuel pump, stuck my finger inside, and sure as ****, it's a gear drive. Rockers look like stock pieces from an old 273, and so does the manifold.

It runs killer, I guess thats all that matters.
