Ive got a 1976 Pacemaker 30 S.F. with twin 318 chryslers with electronic ignition. Tryed to start engines today, port fine, Staboard would not start, fiddled around a bit, found I had no spark, except when I released starter I did notice a spark. Swapped coils, same thing, heading back to boat tomorrow, any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Solenoid ???
Key-switch ???
Bad wiring in-between ???
Sounds like the coil is losing power while motor is cranking....

Re: chrysler 318 - no spark

Had the control box cover off on Sunday, checked voltages at various sensors and compared them to port engine. Found some inconsistensies, I figured loose wires. Tightened any connections I found and she started. Hopefully a fluke 1 time occurance. Kinda nice having twins to check readings etc. Thanks for the help,I love this forum
