i need HELP/ADVICE, my chrysler 105 hp 1057hf . water wont flow all the way through with the gear box removed i have connected a hose to the water tube, it comes out up next to where the gear rod goes in. (not the outlet at rear 1/2 up motor) put hose in outlet and water exits same place where gear rod goes in, NOT where impeller/water pump would conect. coukd there be a hose off (where inside ? if so how do i get to it?) or is there a thermostate thats jaming in this bloody motor? if so where? with motor in water gearbox fills with water and does NOT come out upper outlet,,,,the motor has backfired a few times when starting,, Also, is there a trick to lining up the gearbox (3 holes, tilt, gear shaft and water hose) ANY advice would be greatly appreciated,

Re: chrysler 105 water wont flow

My Chrysler 105 Doesn't flow water either and over heats easily now I haven't torn into it yet to find out why but I figure theres a blockage in the Head. I have already replaced the water pump and thats not the problem. The thermostat is usually on top of the head. The trick to getting the lower end back on is help. for the shift rod I drop a thread through the hole and tie it through the hole in the rod and have one person in charge of that one thing and then two people on the lower end lifting and manuevering.

Hope at least that helps.

Chris
