We just bought a 1976 Chris Craft boat and want to know what model it is. we have the VIN# is there a way to break it down? and can anyone tell us what it weighs?

We haven't been able to find and pics of one that looks like it.

Try posting a photo here to see if anyone knows anything about your boat. You can post the photo at one of the photo sharing sites, and the put a link to that photo in your post on this site.

A model number or picture would be more helpful to identify as hin #s aren't decodeable like automotive vin #'s are.

hey guys we learned how to post pics on here. Pretty smart for a floridian HUH. This is our new toy we bought for $400. is there a way to find out any specs on it?

Hi Fln, the boat is a Chris Craft 25 Express Cruiser. I had one for 10 years. If it still has the original fuel tank (galvanized) it holds 48 gallons. The water tank is 15 gallons. What engine is in it? Weight is around 4500 lbs. Hope this helps.

it has a 350 chevy in it. we also would like to know what tranny is in it. we have been told it's a paragon.

Without a picture, I don't know but originally that's what they used. It is a 1-1 gear or straight drive as they call em. The boat should have about a 13" diameter propeller. Any other questions, put em up. It takes my mind off of the winter blues.
