Chris-Craft Scorpion 210

I have become very interested in getting an old Scorpion 210 BR to "restore" for a family boat. I really like the looks of the hull and have found a couple around. Just wondering if anyone had any input on these boats...good, bad....Most of what I find could use a paint job, I know that everyone says Gel Coat is better, but how does paint hold up since you can do a little more with it?

Check out my profile. Im just wrapping up a 1985 CC Scorpion 186SL BR Resoration.
They are rock solid. Stick with the 80's models. the hull design is actually pretty fast.

The Gel CAN be brought back to life with some 3M products or a wet sanding/buff by someone who knows what they are doing.

I also have a Scorpion 210 as a parts boat, its nice but I just bought it for the engine and outdrive as a back up. Would make a great project. but I got way too good of a deal on it to sell it.
