Hello all, Looking into buying a 1989 bayliner 2855 but it has no trailer. So I'll need to get one and am looking for advice on what to purchase.
Thanks

Just make sure you check the bearrings or replace before you pull away. I bought my first boat and trailer had issues when towing it. Also US boat is way to go. towed my trailer to a shop that fixed me.

28 ft long, 10 ft beam, weight 6250 lb

Fully load with gas and gear maybe 7200 lb, so need to carry at least 8000 and 9000 would be better. Tandem axle min and could also be a tr-axle.

Truck needs to be able to pull 10K and you might need a permit to haul

:welcome: to iBoats

The boat length may get you into a slightly higher capacity trailer, but should be no worries.

Look at a Venture VATB-8725 or something similar.
