Choke probem Suzuki DT55

I recently purchased a boat with a 1986 Suzuki DT 55 engine. The auto-choke does not work at all. Can start the engine by manually choking though. No fun when you need to people to run the boat. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, where can I find wiring diagrams for this engine?
