My choke plunger seems to have broke and now is stuck up in the solenoid any ideas how to get it out???
I tried needle nose pliers but it does not seem to budge, (assuming it will just pull out)
my motor is a 1986 Merc 75hp 4 cyl

Thanks

Any ideas??? I looked at the solenoid and it appears the flywheel has to be removed, in order to get the solenoid out, Is that correct?
or is there a way to just get the plunger out of the solenoid??

I don't know that particular engine but I do know solenoids. Generally if the plunger is stuck the solenoid has overheated and melted inside gluing the plunger in. A new complete solenoid is likely needed.
