Chicago area boating

Hello everyone,
I have just moved to Chicago and am in need of good boating places! I have a 2001 21ft Caravelle 5.0 Mercruiser. I am looking for some places to tube, ski, wakeboard etc and also some good places to hangout listen to music and have a few drinks with other boaters. I have heard some talk about a few river places in the area but unsure which are suitable for my boat and where launches are located. Any and all information is appreciated. Im ready to hit the water!

I just got my 1st boat last year 21 openbow . So im pretty new to finding waterways here in chicago. But I went to cedar lake indiana first. then I went straight to lake michigan. Took the calumet sag river to downtown. and then over to hammond casino marina. Where you can beach your boat right next to the casino with a bunch of beachers and other boats. Thats my go to spot at the moment. But Now I would like to check out that big basin marina.
