Got this formulation from an MSDS.

Was wondering if someone could translate this into common terms, to see if these are commonly available compounds under a different name? Would like to try to make something similar if possible, as the product is pretty darn expensive.

CFR 1910.1200 glycol 60-70 %
Terpenes Sovents 5-10 %
Terpenes 110111 1-3 %
Nonionic Surfactant 5-10

What are you trying to dissolve or clean? It is basically a slippery turpentine mixed with a type of glycol (found to be in anti-freeze) with a surfactant (floats away materials) found in many degreasers and motorcycle cleaning sprays and car soap too.

What is the project?

What is the name of the original chemical. There may be a cheap replacement.

Is the product DeBond Marine Formula sealant and gasket remover?

You got it.

At $19 for 4 ounces, $27.95 plus shipping, for a 12 ounce can, I just had to google the msds and check it out.
Yeah, $234 a gallon.

Must be some precious turpentine.

Supposed to resolve/remove 5200.
