The kid always watches a (long running) weekly program on cheese making.....fascinates him.....(me too!)....he has followed this show all thru Europe, and tonight:

IT WAS IN WISCONSIN...remember the discussion we had here about 'cheeseheads'!!

What a great place! Countryside is beautiful! People interviewed were nice! A big range of cow, sheep and goat specialty cheeses. Neat shops.

Told everyone in the family that we had discussed this recently.

Great.

It will be some other part of the US next week I guess.

Cheers
Phillip

Man that's some beautiful stuff. I love those types of winters. Miss them, actually. Haven't seen snow for 4 yrs except for a quick vacation last winter to Mt Hood. I'd love to walk that stream/river when the snow has just come down.

Yeah, we're not even supposed to hit 70 today. The leaves are "just" starting to change too....

Looks like early fall to me:D. Winter doesn't set in untill you can only see the tall racks. Sucks trying to drag them out to the truck though:p.

Anyway...MMMMMMMMM...Wisconsin cheese. Been a while since I got up to Madison for a cheese run. Have to put that on my list of things to do this fall after the boat's put away.

MMMMMMMMMM....CHEESE!:D

Wisconsin IS a great place. Growing up in Chicago we went there nearly
every summer on vacation. One of my favorite places is Door County,
the "Cape Cod" of the midwest.

Well, being born and raised here in the Dairy State, I just had to chime in and say thanks to Phil for bringing up our grest Cheesehead state!

Glad you enjoyed the show, I missed it...:( But I just have to drive a few miles to the nearest cheese maker....

Born and raised in Central WI.
Uncle has the Family farm too!

We love our cheese. Nothing better then swinging off the highway to hit one of the local cheese factories.

Remember. Happy cows come from Wisconsin. NOT California

actually the happy cows must be in CA because there they try to live next to their cows instead of eating them........LOL I couldn't resist.
