Checking Engine Alignment - replace gaskets?

Hello All

so, as temps get cooler, thoughts start to turn towards the inevitable winterizing of my 3.0L Mercruiser/Alpha 1. I'll take that time to verify the engine alignment, but was wondering if every time you remove the outdrive (to check alignment, check/change impeller, etc) does it require you to change out the gaskets and o-rings? If I am not mistaken there is one big gasket and two rings.

I have every intention of changing the gaskets out when I winterized, but was wondering if I have to plan for it every time I would need to remove the outdrive.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

2 small o-rings and 1 funny looking o-ring type of gasket ???

I get about 5 years out of a set. If you do not know how old they are, then it would be a good idea to start with a new set.
