I have the outdrive off for the annual drain and checkup. (Gen 2)
I have not dumped and cleaned the reservoir yet and I have noticed that I am getting outdrive fluid leaking from the Check Valve Assembly. It is slowly leaking from the valve end itself and not from around where the valve is pressed into the bell housing. Is there really any issue other than an annoyance of a small amount of fluid drip while the outdrive is off. I am questioning if I really need switch this out or worry about it. The way I understand it the valve would be open at this point when the outdrive is attached.
