I have a 2000 Johnson 150. problem, check engine horn and light come on while over 4200 rpm. I've taken it to the dealer and they replace the fuel filter. same problem. I also replaced the check valve on the fuel tank. check engine light stays on for 5 to 10 seconds with no loss of power then goes out with no change in throttle or power loss. I have replaced the spark plugs several times so its not plug related. dealer said it could be a number of things. The horn will go off and then may not go back on for several unitl after several hours. Loud!

Re: check engine

Check the fuel restriction sensor, sensor ok, disconnect sensor hose connect vacumn guage, run engine full throttle loaded, no more then about 4 inches of vacumn. If over 4 inches fuel system is restricted.
