The check enigne light and warning buzzer activates on my 2002 225 honda comes on after you change modes of running, I can start the engine and run for anytime at an advanced rpm but when I reduce speed to a slow trolling speed the check engine light comes on and the buzzer sounds after sixty seconds, I can shut the key off and restart the enigne and no warning sound, you can run at at 1,000 rpm to 1,500 rpm and no light or warning, but if you let it idle and with no load the light and buzzer come on after a minute or two. Shut it off and restart it and it is fine. One of the tow boat operators in our area said it may be an oxygen sensor that is going bad, any ideas???

Hola,
Sounds like you may have water in your fuel filters, You may want to check both of them under the cowl and empty them. If you have an external fuel/water seperator you may want to check that one as well.
-Mike

Thats good advice and I'dd follow it quick.Your water sensing filter has a red ring that if it is at the top of the bowl tells the whole story.Just follow the fuel lines and you will find both internal filters. If you do find water contamination and are not useing an external water separator, now is the time to add one as whatever you've got going on in that tank is still going on.
