ok so i bent my prop shaft a couple months ago... i ordered a new shaft and all the seals needed to replace once i take it all apart and a new impeller at the same time (also put a stainless prop on her if that matters). I got it all back together and took it out and when i put it in gear it chatters pretty bad... when i give it some gas it smooths out but some times when im at idle (trolling) it will start doing it again.... i can give it some more gas and it will go away. any time i switch from forward to reverse it comes back. what is going on? gears not going together right? bad bearing? a side note when the bent shaft was in there it did not chatter... just vibrated steadly in accordance with speed.

well everything is press fitted and not adjustable with the exception of a shim at the very front of the case. i figure if i took a shaft out that was straight (before i bent it) and put a straight one in i shouldn't have to change that...only if I am changing the gears/bearings....or maybe if i changed that carrier then you would change the shim too. am I wrong?
