Well I have finally done it, I have always wanted to go on a charter boat to fish. I chartered a 25 foot at Barnegat Bay in New Jersey, should I fish for Striped bass or Flounder? I was told Flounder taste better but Striped bass give a better fight. Which would you choose, I do intend on keeping my catch. :D

Re: Charter boat fishing

Striper - is more fun, more action. Flounder fishing is drift fishing, where you sit and drift your minnow on the bottom.

Both are great tasting fish imho - flounders put a great fight because of their flat sizes.

Stripers have small limits to the number, like 2 you can catch and the sizes, so you may catch your limit real quick, check what the charter says, some say as soon you limit out they head in.

The striper limits are really dependend on WHERE you are fishing, bay, ocean, river etc.

Tomatolord
