The annual trek to Folly Beach is next week and I'm taking my boat for the first time. I have surf fished for the last 6 years with almost no success (fishing mostly from the state park at the south end of the island). My boat's only a 15ft V-hull with a 40hp on it, so I'll be sticking to the river and creeks behind the island. Possibly the Stono River. Does anyone have any good advice for Redfish, Trout or Flounder? I never fish saltwater except when I'm down there, so it's frustrating being out of my element. I plan on casting nets for shrimp and fishing popper bobbers at high tide around oyster beds and creek mouths (and trying to keep from destroying my boat). My daughter should get a kick out of crabbing and seeing some dolphins. Any fishing advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
