I recently got a new Chariot Warbird 2 tube. I never really got into tubing too much, but have always opted to go waterskiing. Just used the tube to entertain the kids. So, yesterday the kids conned me into going on the tube with them and did I have a good time. The tube was super stable and just plain fun to be on. Today, I am more sore then just going skiing. Try it you may like it.......

NPD:

The ads for the Warbird Chariot look enticing. Did you try it like a chair or like a chariot? (Apparently you can hook it to the rope at either end!) Did it slide sideways easily?

It's a beast to handle out of the water, heavy and awkward. It's easy to fall over backwards while stationary if you try to get too comfortable on it, then can't get back on without help from the boat. I'm wanting to get the canopy for mine for just tooling around the coves relaxing.
Your pictures make it appear that the rope is attached pretty high up, is that a custom rig of your own or just the factory strap and coupler?

It is a "beast??. we have a Big Boat with a big motor so we have no issue..... Just Fun..
Riders have a tendency to lean back a little resulting in front to come up time to time... Our tow hook is a factory set up and there is no fabrication done to the tube. We started use kayak helmets since there is risk of hitting heads when they get bounced around... I would highly recommend using helmet with any multi people tubing.

Our kids have fun with them on the beach?.. No need to Tow?..

I used it as a chair and it was stable once you would get going. Sitting too far back in the chair would have it tip back on you. As previously stated it is heavy out of the water and hard on a boat to pull without too much HP. All in all I really enjoy the tube.

We enjoy ours too. While it is big our first boat was a pontoon with a 90 and it did fine. I think the size keeps it up on plane and cuts back on resistance. A few extra psi doesn't hurt either and really speeds up the action...

I was thinking about getting one next year. It's like my half pipe but you sit in it and have a back rest + safer with feet forward. Are the center cushions removeable?

Nothing is removable on it, all one piece other than the bladder, but they do offer a neat little canopy top for them, I thought about buying one but then again it's a handfull already unless you have slip. I have to strap the tube to the roof of my jeep while trailering because it won't fit between the gunwales.

Yes them big tubes are a handfull. I see its flat. (I missed that the first time I looked at it:D) I have a 3 person Patriot and that bugger is heavy. Its even wider than the boat. We sub it and had a hard time getting the water out. I like the way the Warbird looks.

Re: Chariot Warbird 2

we have the big mable, its a huge, flat 3 person tube. it looks like alot of fun, and its extremely stable. but, we have to inflate/deflate it every time we are done with it. its just almost too big. if we are in a slip for the night, i will deflate halfway so it fits under the bimini, but thats not very often. it is 84"x80". this pic is 2 of my buddys and my 6 yr old daughter in the middle. this thing is big!

edit: i have been asked to remove the pic of my tube in action.

Chariot Warbird 2

Hello,

I am Jackwood. This is my first visit to site.I am new to this site, but I?ve enjoyed posting in your forums.Spread your wings and fly on the all new Sports Stuff Chariot Warbird 2 Towable Ski Tube. Soar across the wake while towing in the warbird position, then turn it around and tow it chariot style for awhile.Either way, we're sure you will have a blast on the Chariot Warbird 2.Take a friend as co-pilot or fellow charioteer. The wide wingspan allows you to challenge even the toughest wake, while remaining one of the most stable rides on the water as its high backrest and multiple handles keep you in place. With a simple switch of the innovative dual tow points the CHARIOT WARBIRD 2 can be towed in the opposite direction, transforming them into a completely different ride.Thank you very much and Stay connected with me.
