Checked battery without motor running. DVM read 12.5 volts. Started motor it read the same. Throttled up a bit, stayed the same. Checked connections at the battery, all seems well. What should I check next?
Thanks for your help.

Update
Checked more thoroughly, voltage increases about .5 volts. According to manual a .3 increase or more means charging system is operating correctly.
Does this sound right?

Re: Charging problems

at 1500 RPM you should see between 13.5 and 14.8V.
check the stator lighting coils for continuity, shorts to ground and output.
if the stator is good its most likly going to be a regulator assy failure.
