charging batterys in a dual-battery system

When charging a dual-battery system from an external charger, what is the correct method of doing it?<br /><br />Do you put the battery switch to the "BOTH" position and charge them in parallel or do you put the switch in the "OFF" position and charge them independently?<br /><br />Thanks,<br />ndusoo2@yahoo.com

I have dual batteries and charge with an external charger. I turn the battery switch to off, fully charge one battery, then the other. Always use your charger in the auto mode, not manual, so you don't overcharge and cook your battery.
