I've just sold my 2005 Four Winns 250H and am looking for a different type of boat. I'm looking for something I can cruise the Gulf Intercoastal, with a friend or two. Spend weekends on the boat at sea or in the marina. I've narrowed it down to early to mid 2000's Chaparral 350 or Rinker 342 Fiesta Vee. I've read good and not so good on both boats. Considerations are living space below deck and space under shade (it's Houston...) topside, cruising range, cruising speed, and resale in a few years. The Chaparrals I've seen tend to have higher hours in the similar price range -- 300-500.
I'd welcome some feedback based on experience with either or both of these boats.
Thanks!
Rick

No experience except for rides on both. In the Gulf, on a cruiser, you will want inboard shaft drives. I believe you can
get those on the 350Sig, but not on the Rinker. That and re-sale value would convince me to consider the Chap first.
If both boats are in equally pristine condition. The Rinker will be less expensive and faster, but fit and finish, ride quality,
higher materials will be found in the Chap.
