Chaparral 240 Cruiser Questions

Hi All<br /> Just found this forum and I have a few questions for you experts,are there any other Chaparral dedicated forums?<br /> Also last night I just figured out how to get the helm seat to fold flat but I believe it can also prop up the one end for a lounge effect but I could not figure it out,whats the trick.<br /> What kind of fluid and how do you gain access to add it to the trim tab container?<br /> Thanks in advance for any replies!

Chaparral's site has an owners forum area. It's chaparralboats.com But you will be underwhelmed at the participation on their chat board, especially as compared to here.

BB256 the trim tab takes GM type transmission fuid, Mercon lll I think it is. Take the plastic top off your trim unit and you should see a small plug where you can add the fluid. hope this helps. I have a Signature 240 haven't tried the seat trick but I will.
