chaparral 236 sunesta wiring fir fuel pump 5.0 gxi fuel injected

Fuel pump was toast, replaced them, very expensive,ran for about 15 min then quit,no power to pumps, fuse is good and has power.
The owners manual doesnt have any info for wiring either.
I would think there is a relay for the fuel pumps but cannot find it, any help?

Unless you post the full model number or the Volvo serial number of your engine, there isn't much chance of accurately helping you.

The 5.0 gxi is the model number for this 2004 fuel injected motor.
Volvo penta, the are a couple diff ones like gxi-b, -f, etc, but mine is the gxi.

That last letter is what is needed, that's why I asked for the FULL and not just part of it.
That last letter determines the differences between models. Year is the year of your boat which may be different.
Here is a list of ther 5.0GXi engines, which one exactly do you have?

Thanks Don but the are no other letters after 50gxi on the id tag.

Then it's worn off. But their is another letter.

This should help you find the other tag. If you can't get there to read the tag, think about your digital camera.

Thank you, gxi-e.
I put a new fuel pump assem on and they are not getting power, the relay is good and fuse is as well. When I probe the black wire w/yellow stripe coming out of the fuse box the pumps come on.

Also,where does the injectors get thirty pulse from? A crank sensor? If so where is it located?

Just noticed the alarm that sounds when you turn the key to the on position is not sounding off, if this helps

Ok, well my ECM ,computer went out, found a brand new one on craigslist, carzy but in the box, exact one I needed. Lucky and great deal.
So not I neew to figure out the power trim/tilt not working.
the relays were under water for awhile.
Change relays and open for suggestions.
I will look on here as well.
Up and running though, SWEET

Hi Don S,
Would you have the trim/tilt diagram for Duo-prop DP sm1 . 95 Dual relay system #386891? 2004, hope this is enought info.
