I have a 1975 Chrysler 45HP. The motor sat for about 2 years before I recently bought it. I believe that I need to replace the water pump. Assuming that everything else is okay, is the impeller and the lower unit seal kit the only thing I need? Is there anything else I should check/replace since I have to remove the lower unit anyway? Who would be a good source for these parts?

Thanks

NAPA should have the impeller and seal kit for your engine. The gasket between the upper and lower portions of the LU is hard to find so be careful when removing. You could always fabricate one though.

outboardparts.com have had the best prices that I have found. Plus, shipping is only $7 if the order is under $60. Over $60, shipping is free!!

Shane
