Attempted to change the trim motor on my Mercury OB yesterday...With the help of the previous posts on this forum, I was able to get to the motor, without taking off the entire OB...
It was almost a complete success, until I realized the after market trim motor I purchased was the wrong one....Now waiting for UPS to arrive like a kid waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve.
The removal was actually pretty simple. When I did remove the PTT pump, I noticed that the fluid was a MILKY PINK color....Im assuming water got into it from a bad seal.
Anyone know how to drain the fluid completely and what, how to fill with fresh fluid?
