Changing to tiller steer from steering wheel

I have a 1979 40hp mercury that came off a bass tracker that has a steering wheel. I am putting this motor on a flat bottom boat without a steering column. I was wondering if there is a way to switch the motor to a tiller handle.

Should not be a problem at all, I just did an ebay search for used parts and there seems to be quite a few tiller handles with the throttle and such for pretty reasonable prices that will fit the merc 40 horse
